Increasing demands are the most prominent challenges of driving schools for vehicles

The General Supervisor of Sharq Driving School, Dr. Samar bin Salem Barian, confirmed that the general trend is witnessing a great demand for training by women, which constitutes a great challenge for the school, as this requires an increase in the number of female trainers, and the number of cars, as well as the expansion of the training arena.

Brian, who was a guest of Tuesday's meeting of businesswomen in the Asharqia Chamber, which was held on Tuesday evening, June 1, 2021, said that the school was launched after the supreme decision to allow women to drive in 2017, so it is concerned with graduating female leaders committed to the highest standards of traffic safety. Therefore, the "vision" of the school is to achieve Leadership and excellence in driving vehicles locally, regionally, and globally, and carrying a “message” to provide the trainee with the knowledge and skills to enable him to drive confidently and responsible in a safe educational environment following international standards, and run according to certain “values” which are: “Safety and safety, respect for the road, social responsibility, and citizenship, and mastery.”

Accordingly, the school’s goals, according to Dr. Brian, are: “Providing advanced scientific knowledge related to safe driving, focusing on driving skills and taking responsibility for obtaining driving licenses efficiently and effectively, raising the level of traffic awareness among the local community groups, and consolidating a culture of respect for the system to achieve Traffic safety, and training on successful driving practices and standards locally, regionally and globally.

She said that the school, which launched its first batch of graduates in 2018, (about a year after the High Resolution), had undergone two types of training (theoretical and practical), the first section includes lectures, simulation, and theoretical test, while the practical section includes vehicle control exercises and skills Road, posture exercises.

She reviewed the most prominent challenges facing the school, most notably the registration of 90,000 students during the first day of the school's launch. The ages of the registered students range from 18 to 70 years, waiting to enter the program for a period of 3 weeks, and our capacity is 1,524 trainees, and last year it was in the range of 878 trainees. Therefore, the foreseeable solutions are to increase the number of female trainers (from 60 female trainers in 2020 to 190 female trainers at present), expand the field (which covers an area of 80,000 square kilometers), and increase the number of cars (we have about 134 cars, which was last year (60 cars), and the intensification of working hours (and we now work 14 hours a day, 6 days), so the huge demand will remain a challenge until this moment for any driving school for women.
